Description

The curriculum of the study program Vocational Nurse aims to train students to work on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in state-owned and private institutions. The program includes training for work with the healthy as well as the ailing population of all ages. The curriculum of this study program suits the needs for care on the primary, secondary and tertiary health care levels.

The study program Vocational Nurse is coordinated with similar programs at European universities and it offers the training of professional staff in line with new approaches to health policy, based on the protection and advancement of health which demands some changes of nursing functions and competencies.

Learning outcomes

The main aim of this program is to enable students to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities to respond to the demands and challenges of this profession, as well as to stimulate them to pursue continued and professional improvement and keep track of the innovations in the domain of medical science and health care.

One of the fundamental goals of this study program is to educate vocational nurses who will be independent when working and organizing activities, strive to improve work quality, and apply modern and contemporary principles of health care in the treatment of healthy and ailing persons, as well as people with special needs.

The theoretical classes are carried out in the College using cutting-edge teaching equipment, while the practical training is completed in Serbia’s most eminent health care institutions which are also the teaching bases of the College of Sports and Health: the Military Medical Academy, “Medigroup”, the Institute for Rehabilitation, the Institute for Rheumatology, the Institute for Orthopedic Surgery “Banjica”, and the Rehabilitation Clinic.
